Lufthansa is opened at Munich Airport Facilities first class with an outdoor terrace overlooking the airfield. The hall is located in the Getting Started April 26th new satellite terminal, Concourse 2.
Access to the hall have a first-class passengers flying long-haul Lufthansa and Star Alliance, as well as participants in the highest elite level HON Circle loyalty program Miles & More. Terrace is relatively small – it has an area of 100 square meters. There are placed a few sofas and chairs with tables, as well as green spaces. Part of the terrace is closed transparent roof.
View from the terrace is not particularly impressive: a pair of eyes available for immediate boarding bridges and multiple remote sites. Overview of landing strips missing. Those who wish to take photographs should be borne in mind that separates from the aircraft of the glass, and the best view you can get from the main part of the hall.

In total, the terminal 2 is now 12 halls Lufthansa: in the main part of the terminal also has a first-class room, three rooms Senator, one cafe Senator and two Business Class room. At the same time, passengers flying away from the main terminal, can use the facilities of a satellite concourse, and vice versa: move freely between buildings all located in the “clean” zone. Transfer via underground train shuttle takes based on time-trains and ups and downs on the escalators of about 5-8 minutes. When traveling in the direction of the main terminal should be careful: the signs for “exit” on the train platform, passengers get through a long tunnel in the baggage reclaim hall outside the “clean” zone. To get to the departure lounge or in the halls of Lufthansa, should follow the signs to enter the H or G landing.
Recall that the newly opened terminal-satellite located at the airfield in parallel to the current terminal 2. It is slightly shorter (609 meters) and the main terminal has 27 boarding bridges and 6 bus departure gates (last – only for passengers with short connections).
The terminal-satellite on the device is very similar to the main terminal. There are also two floors of departure: one for within the Schengen visa, another for international flights. This allows us to serve any flight through any teletrap.
Open terraces to “clean” the area is still a rarity in the airports of the world. In Europe, this terrace can be accessed, for example, when you visit a business lounges non-Schengen flights Concourse E at Zurich Airport, the airfield there is not separated from the passengers glass. And in Gibraltar airport outdoor terrace is available to all departing passengers of any class.
