  • 1. The area of the country makes only 64 589 sq.km. On this indicator Latvia takes the 122nd place in the world. Despite the small sizes, more than 40% of the territory are covered with the woods. For this reason the country enjoys wide popularity among fans of active recreation and picnics.
  • 2. Latvia treats three Baltic States, including Estonia and Lithuania. Baltic – the region which name happens from the Baltic Sea which washes these lands.
