The authorities of the UAE capital Abu Dhabi increased the cost of travel in a taxi. The starting price on the counter in the afternoon is now 5 dirhams ($ 1.36) and 5.5 dirhams ($ 1.5) at night. For every kilometer of the way tourists will pay 1.8 dirhams ($ 0.49).
Another 4 dirhams ($ 1.08) will have to pay for calling a taxi in the afternoon and 5 dirhams – in the evening. The morning taxi change starts at 6:00 and continues until 22:00; Night – from 22:00 to 6:00, respectively. The minimum fare for the trip also increased and is 12 dirhams ($ 3.26).
