The Roman thermae of Caracalla are open for tourists at night

From August 18 to October 3, on Tuesdays and Fridays, tourists will be able to visit one of the main attractions of Rome – the thermae of Caracalla – at night time.

Excursion groups of 25 people will see the monumental structures of the Emperor of Caracalla, called Termites of Antonian, and come done into the underground rooms, where archaeologists are working now.

Duration of excursions – 75 minutes and they are held from 19:30 (the last entrance at 21:00).

The thermae of the Caracalla were built in the III century AD and were considered one of the wonders of Rome. Today the thermae are one of the most extensive and well-preserved Ancient Roman monuments in the Italian capital.
