With the onset of a high tourist season, the authorities of the Italian city of Pisa, like last year, decided to extend the opening hours of the two most popular local attractions located on Piazza dei Miracoli.
All summer, until August 31, the Leaning Tower and the cemetery XIII-XV centuries Campo Santo will be open for visits until 22:00. In the evening, the tourists will not be disturbed by the heat, and their walk will become more pleasant.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa – the bell tower of the city’s Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, built in the XIV century – is one of the tourist symbols of Italy, and many figures of Italian science, culture and art are buried in the cemetery, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
