Transport authorities in New York announced almost two-fold increase in queues at the preflight inspection in the city airports. In addition, travelers in a number of other US airports have reported cases of queues lasting one and a half to two hours.
Mostly New York airport Kennedy average time in the queue increased from 11.5 minutes in the spring of 2015 to 21 minutes in the spring of 2016. Maximum time in queue, according to airport employees increased from 30 to 55 minutes.
