The largest and most famous in the world Snow Festival will be held from 1 to 12 February in the Japanese city of Sapporo – the capital of the island of Hokkaido. Every year, this festival is going to about 2 million tourists from around the world to witness the huge facilities of snow and ice, including the famous buildings and monuments in full size.
By tradition, the festival will be held at three venues: Odori Park, the stadium Tsudome and in the area of nightlife Susukino.
Professional architects and sculptors, uniting dozens of teams, will compete with each other in creativity and scale. Japan National Tourist Organization warns that bypass all the snow festival site during daylight hours is almost impossible, and notes that in the evening of the composition of the snow look even more spectacular, thanks to the illumination.
